Poison Eater L/S Shirt - Awarehouse x Three Jewels

$0.00
sold out

This limited edition t-shirt, is the result of a collaboration with Three Jewels, a 501c3 non-profit that was started in 1996 by the main students of the First American Geshe in the Gelugpa lineage Buddhist tradition.

The peacock feeds off of poison, and not only survives but thrives! According to legend, it is what gave them their brilliant colored feathers.

In Buddhism, the peacock symbolizes a bodhisattva, who can feed off of the poison of the world (their mental afflictions, the pain of others) using wisdom and compassion to become stronger and more kind.

What would kill a normal bird, allows a peacock to thrive. Similarly, immense acts of compassion that would make another human annoyed, angry or fearful, brings bliss to a Bodhisattva!

  • Design features a 2-color print on front and sleeves, and a 4-color print on back.

  • Hand silk-screened locally in Brooklyn.

Front Text: Poison Eater - Supreme Nectar

Front Design: Wheel of Sharp Weapons Graphic inside peacock skull

Back: Liberation Tour - features key members from the Tibetan Buddhist lineage with relevant dates and opening verse from the Wheel of Sharp Weapons

Every order helps support Three Jewels to keep their not-for-profit mission alive.
